Loka, an environmental initiative under the auspices of the Healthy Minds Innovations at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, seeks to bring together evangelical faith leaders, scientists, and strategists to address environmental challenges. Supporting $2,500 per student for up to 20 graduate students and junior faculty members in the MSR field to attend the 2019 Academy of Management Conference.
On Being Growth & Capacity Support
In support of the On Being Project and our mission toward a more loving world. This three-year project supports Institute advertising on the On Being radio show and podcast, and other supporting media; and capacity building and program collaboration with On Being to include Seasons convenings, movement building support, ecosystem development, and integrated learning across our staff teams.
One Small Step
This project seeks to continue the momentum of One Small Step, a StoryCorps initiative, by renewing our sponsorship for an additional three years. Utilizing the StoryCorps method of storytelling, listening, and connection building, One Small Step asks people with different political views to record an interview with each other. One Small Step seeks to counteract intensifying political divides by facilitating and recording conversations that enable people who disagree to listen to each other with respect.

Mission: Joy Film Sponsorship and Impact Campaign
To support initial production and outreach fund for Mission Joy - a film about the lives and friendship of two of our greatest spiritual exemplars: His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Inspired by the bestselling The Book of Joy and supported by an award-winning production team, the Institute would be a major funder for the film and co-creator of the impact campaign, with production slated for 2020 and a release in late 2020 or early 2021.
General Support and Strategy Design for Bridge Building
Unrestricted budgetary support to strengthen Sojourners efforts to increase the capacity of faith leaders in building bridges leading up to and in the immediate aftermath of the 2020 election. Faith leaders are not just spiritual “first responders” in moments of crises like the current pandemic but are also enduring builders of American democracy by bringing people around a shared moral vision.

Inner-City Muslim Action Network
