Loka, an environmental initiative under the auspices of the Healthy Minds Innovations at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, seeks to bring together evangelical faith leaders, scientists, and strategists to address environmental challenges. Premised on the recognition of the ability of religion/spirituality to reach into peoples’ hearts and to spur actions where science faces a challenge to inspire, the project will implement a combined self-reflection and co-learning program spread across three convenings. The first convening will focus on language (creation care vs. environmental crisis, for instance), the second on theology, and the third on science and actionable strategy.
