Empathy in Christian and Public Life
The partnership with Ideos Institute’s Center for Empathy in Christian and Public Life (CECPL) will equip young Christians in academia, faith-based-institutions, and public life, to engage in the complex issues of our modern society faithfully. This project aims to support emerging leaders, with an emphasis on leaders from BIPOC communities, within the American Christian faith tradition to embody love in their communities through a community of practice initiative.
Empowering Global Love Through Empowering Women to Advance Religious Freedom
A partnership with FoRB (Freedom of Religion or Belief) Women’s Alliance, an emerging initiative of 21 Wilberforce. FoRB Women’s Alliance is a collaborative, interdisciplinary effort to weave an ecosystem of organizations and networks committed to centering women in work to advance FoRB. This project will help the Institute clarify how the concepts of freedom of Spirit and of love are mutually dependent and inseparable. This project will explore the hypothesis that the denial of freedom of Spirit for women is a denial of their full human capacity to love in every sphere of life.

The project will also deepen and scale the University’s work.
Virtues in the Public Square
A project partnership that will bring together two faith-based institutions and their leaders across theological and political differences to offer a course that explores spiritual common ground called Virtues in the Public Square. This project would launch Virtues in the Public Square, a multimedia course that explores seven virtues––wisdom, justice, courage, temperance, humility, generosity, and friendship––through the lens of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
