Fall Yoga Retreat: Just as You Are
Underneath the routine of doing and expectation, a gracious joy for simply being awaits. Fall is a glorious time to slow down and revel in the beauty of being enough. Open landscapes, cozy cabins, and sounds of nature are a balm to busyness, affirming you are enough: just as you are. With this retreat, you are invited to reflect and relax into who we are as the hustle and bustle melts away. Poetry, nature, solitude, and togetherness will cocoon this special time of unwinding and unfolding layers to bask in your inner light.
Generational Patterns that Block the Spiritual Path: Healing the Family Soul
Have you wondered why some of your life patterns seem impossible to resolve? Have you felt spiritually blocked and can’t figure out what to do next? Come to GilChrist to explore and heal the family generational patterns in your family soul that influence and energetically block your spiritual path through contemplative exercises and family systems constellations. You will have time alone and in silence during the retreat to reflect, journal, and walk on the beautiful GilChrist grounds.
Teachers in Residence
Ten one-week residencies provide the opportunity for selected preschool through fifth-grade teachers to spend a quiet week of reflection, writing, reading, and planning for the following school year.
This teacher residency program is sponsored by the Nancy M. and Douglas M. Yeager Family Foundation in partnership with the GilChrist Retreat Center of the Fetzer Institute.
Hibernate with Yoga and Community
Sometimes winter inspires one to seek refuge in solitude and quiet, which can be rejuvenating. Sometimes too much can bring about a melancholy spirit. This retreat provides space for hibernating in togetherness. The intent is to create a warm atmosphere of choice between solitude or an activity together and reflect on the energies of each experience. This wintertime retreat will offer yoga practices, hiking, sledding, and community dinners with games by the fire.
About the Facilitator
Jung and Dreams: Bringing the Unconscious into Consciousness
Described by Jung as “a little hidden door in the innermost and most secret recesses of the psyche,” our dreams have the ability to tap into the wisdom of our personal and collective symbolism, myth, metaphor, and the Divine. By carrying uncensored messages in the form of symbols from the unconscious, dreams hold answers to understanding ourselves and often present solutions to problems in waking life.

Shamanism: A Jungian Exploration of the Unconscious
Shamanism is an ancient healing tradition, a way of life, and a method to connect with nature and all of creation. Carl Greer states in his 2014 book, Change Your Story, Change Your Life: “As is the case with Jungian psychology, shamanism is concerned with the unseen forces that influence us . . . . Jung believed that if we can learn to identify and consciously work with the forces that are currently influencing us at an unconscious level, we can be less affected by them and experience greater psychological health.”
