March Mindfulness Retreat with SoulCollage®
SoulCollage® is a simple intuitive process of creating many small collages and then giving voice to the images to discover their identity and the wisdom they carry. It is an imaginative, contemplative way to mindfully access the reality of our True Selves. SoulCollage® is a spiritual practice which can lead to self-discovery, an increase in resilience and discernment. Whether you are new to SoulCollage® or are experienced creating cards, this retreat offers time and space to creatively explore your inner being and the wisdom and blessings available there.
The Light Within: a yoga and meditation retreat
We all need time to slow down, turn inward and reconnect with our inner Light. As the daylight hours begin to grow shorter at the autumnal equinox, it’s the perfect time to gather and remember our internal Light.
During the weekend, we’ll explore the two essential components of any spiritual path: disentangling from your darkness and moving toward the Light. The retreat will include time for:
Teacher Residencies (Preschool through 5th Grade)
Note from the program sponsor: We are deeply saddened to share news of the passing of our founder and inspiration, Douglas M. Yeager, on December 24, 2022. While we continue to navigate the loss, we are committed to carrying on this work and building upon the legacy he initiated to honor the memory of his wife and our mother, friend, and grandmother.

Resilience For Transformative Action: Exploring Stoic Virtues and Social Justice
When we think of "resilient” people, we generally think of individuals who adapt well in the face of adversity, trauma, stress, and/or tragedy. Resilience is a capacity that each of us can build within ourselves through our thoughts, behaviors, habits, and actions. Stoicism is a rich philosophical tradition that emphasizes the importance of cultivating four virtues – wisdom, temperance, courage, and justice – to build our resilience, to live well and to live authentically in the face of life’s challenges.
Fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in group retreats
“Please describe how you intend to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion in your proposed group retreat.” In 2019, we added this invitation to our simple group retreat request form for GilChrist. We wanted to begin gathering information from our facilitators on how folks were thinking about the connection between contemplative retreats and DEI work. Responses have ranged from very thoughtful and detailed to (perhaps) a little put off or confused. All responses have been helpful for us to see where our community is and what the opportunities are.
Biologos and the Center for Christogenesis: Love at the Intersection of Faith and Science
Biologos and the Center for Christogenesis might appear to be on opposite sides of the spirituality and science debate. Yet both organizations exist principally to help people of faith reconcile the two disciplines—positing that science and spirituality are not in opposition; but that they, in fact, complement each other. And that to understand the world in which we live, each must be taken into account. Both organizations describe this necessary reconciliation as “bridging.”
An App Helping to Build a More Loving World Through Meditation
One of the ways that people deal with the stress of their everyday lives is through meditation. Globally it is estimated that 200 – 500 million people engage in this practice. In the United States, more than 14% of adults have tried meditation at least once, and since 2012, the number of people that has embraced this practice has more than tripled.
No Sustainability without Spirituality
War, environmental degradation, racism—it appears that polarization has a death grip on every aspect of our world, including our democracy.
