Last year, the Fetzer Institute hosted a series of virtual convenings to harvest what folks were learning about creating meaningful sacred space using online tools, resulting in a report called "Creating Sacred Space Virtually." While this effort was a direct response to the pandemic, many facilitators and retreat centers are finding that virtual programming might be here to stay, primarily for reasons of accessibility.

Supporting Students in Overcoming Adversity: Agency, Justice, Equity. Grantmakers for Education takes this inspiration from the students who lived through Hurricane Katrina and the subsequent overhaul of the education system. Local successes and challenges will stimulate national conversations about transforming education, from birth through post-secondary success. Drawing on brain science and the latest evidence, we will explore the social, emotional and academic dimensions of learning.

This national gathering is for all  those seeking to understand, experience and apply the latest developments in social and emotional learning. The conference will help participants forge new alliances and gain new insights, empowering and inspiring their future efforts to ensure that education in America focuses on developing the whole child.

Through our series of conferences, meet-ups, and workshops, Wisdom 2.0 strives to bring this conversation to the world in an accessible, innovative, and inclusive way.
