The World Health Organization (WHO) Stop TB partnering approach is being lifted up as a significant exemplar of the potential transformative power of love in national and international health policy design and implementation. Mainly through research activities, the proposal intends to offer a systematic reflection on how and why a loving attitude towards each person (the ‘whole’ person) and explicit recognition of the essential role of communities (in their material and spiritual dimensions) can transform the process of designing health systems and providing health care, from technocratic to people-centered.
