It’s easy to forget how impactful the daily, ordinary moments of our lives can be. Sensei Koshin Paley Ellison, Zen teacher, psychotherapist, and president of the New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care shares what a door person in his building said that moved and reminded him of the impact our most ordinary activities have on others.
This month, we invite you to notice how you move through the world, how and when you “fully participate,” and/or bring love to your daily activities. What do you notice about how you feel or the quality of your interactions with others when you are fully present, bring love to what you do? Are there things that you’d like to change as a result of your observations? Share what you’re noticing with others and find out what they observe about the impact of their own and others’ ordinary daily activities.
